Only connect

One of the best feelings is to make something that moves someone in some way. It might be as simple as raising a smile. You’ve been seen and in some way, the person responding to your work feels seen too. A connection has been made.

It’s a feeling we all yearn for, especially now we’re socially distanced.

That’s why I want my stuff to involve active participation. The more that people are involved, the more likely they are to connect with it (I hope).

Work that really connects moves us emotionally, it helps build feelings of recognition and belonging, it’s social glue, it makes great things to happen, it’s a starting point.
